The position available is part of the EU H2020 project "FutureMARES".
The selected candidate will join the Coastal Biodiversity Lab with the objective of engaging with local, regional and EU policy-makers. As such, the selected candidate is expected to have some experience in stakeholder and particularly policy-maker engagement. The hired researcher will be responsible for i) writing a white paper based on preliminary results from the project work for major international events and initiatives related to EU environmental policies, ii) engage with policy-makers and report on FutureMARES activities including NBS recommendations, iii) improve and disseminate the mechanism for policy-makers to request work to fill specific knowledge gaps.
In order to be admitted to the competition, the candidates must hold a PhD or Doctorate in Marine Biology, Biological Sciences, Ecological Economy or in a related field. The candidates should also have an excellent academic and professional track record, be committed to work in a team and be highly motivated and oriented towards stakeholder engagement in the context of marine sciences. The candidates should be able to communicate orally and in written form in English language.
